As we mark 250 years of the United States, we celebrate American history. We pay tribute to the American people. And we acknowledge the rights, freedoms and values that forged the American achievement and inspired other nations, including our own. Today, we also celebrate the Australian American Alliance. A deep and abiding friendship and partnership that was born at the Battle of Hamel, formalised with ANZUS, and fortified through AUKUS. On behalf of the Coalition, I express my sincere gratitude to all American servicemen and women, officials, and diplomats who are here in Australia, especially in the Top End.   To the President, to the American people, to the land of the free and the home of the brave: Congratulations, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.
