The search for Joan’s replacement is also exhausting and annoying. I don’t care about Michael’s crisis. I miss when Joan disliked him. I HATE that her final scene was with him not Amy. Him telling Amy there was no conflict in the past is ridiculous and still is. Ugh. #doconfox

Unlike him to her, Amy has nailed Michael every time she’s analyzed him. I think she probably did in this flashback too. She was harsh and not at all what he needed in that moment but that doesn’t make her wrong. It’s telling he freaked out and walked away too. #doconfox
Amy was willing to let the day go, blame it on both of them, but Jake wasn’t. I would say talking about it is always better but that’s not what they did. He brought up Chicago, she pushed back with Rachel, Michael, Rachel, he got mad and bailed. Helpful, both of you. #doconfox
It’s interesting that Jake spent his last day as chief shutting down and disagreeing with the woman who made him chief. I would say it shows how much he’s grown but she was right medically and he ended up mediating with the family too. She suggested mediation early. #doconfox
I don’t like how you try to play by your own rules and expect everyone else to go along- that wasn’t what she was doing at all. She was disagreeing but she was following his lead. It seemed like an out of nowhere dig when they were discussing something else. #doconfox
Amy can absolutely be a pain and she is never more so than when she thinks she’s right and no one will listen. I don’t know if she was right ethically but she was medically. I think this ep just made her want chief even more so she can make these calls herself. #doconfox
His line about how fathers and daughters are capable of having that kind of bond and how that’s triggering her was low. She never questioned whether or not the father should be in there. She wanted the mother in there too. She wasn’t the only one triggered. #doconfox
Jake made Amy’s issue all about her relationship with Katie and Michael but I think it was about him too. Seeing Jake go to such lengths to keep secrets from that woman and mislead her just hit her wrong when she felt like he’d just done the same thing to her. #doconfox
I’m really curious what Joan would have said about keeping the mother out. I don’t know if Jake or Amy was right. They both had good points. It seemed like the kind of disagreement that should have gone up the chain. #doconfox
Ep 19. This is my least favorite Jake and Amy medical case, even individually. Contradicting the other doctor in front of a patient is a problem. It never ends well. Bringing in personal issues is a problem. Calling rank over good points is a problem. #doconfox
