#dailyjesus: (almost) every day I'm sharing a teaching of Christ to uplift all and to hold myself (and fellow Christians) accountable to what Jesus actually said.
The hidden commandment here is to love ourselves, but Jesus tells us to do both. We are to treat others and ourselves with compassion.
For believers, any mistreatment of self or others is mistreatment of a child of God. On the flip side, when we are good to ourselves and others we honor his creations.

"Whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister. And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant. Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:26-28)

#dailyjesus: What is forgiveness? I see it as letting go of bitterness and spite, releasing hate.
What is forgiveness NOT? It's not trust. We may forgive freely, but trust has to be earned. Those who confuse the two leave themselves open to abuse and manipulation.
