#OTD in 1963: Ankara mid-air collision (Turkey). Middle East Airlines 265, a Viscount, collides with a Turkish AF C-47 over Ankara. 87 on the ground and all 17 on both planes die. Investigation noted pilot actions on both aircraft, such as navigation error and breach of SOP.
