At AC, we pray for the Spirit's leading before casting each ballot for GC and JC. I wonder if we really trust the Spirit as much as we claim? Instead of voting, why don't we put every delegate's number on a lottery ball and draw numbers?
What do you think? #eoac19, @eastohioum
Let's focus on the positive for today. What did you take home from Annual Conference that will encourage you in your ministry? #eoac19
I just sat in Sloopy’s waiting for my order and journaled three pages and there is still more to be written. While the wounds are deep, I also see healing scar tissue. Mourning and healing needs to occur but we can’t give up and I won’t give up. #eoac19
So many unphased faces in Hoover makes me think they don’t recognize the pain they’re inflicting. :( #eoac19
The denomination I have grown up in, worshiped in and ultimately lead in, and I know there is love here, even when it’s hard to see. I love all y’all and always will. No matter who you wake up as, go to sleep with, believe in, vote for, or even if you disagree with me❤️ #eoac19
My place in this denomination and see where I will continue my journey. I am sorry again and I hope you can find some sort of peace knowing there is a strong body fighting for you and along side you. My heart is hurting knowing that others are still hurting. This is #eoac19
That you know, as seen at this conference this is not an unanimous vote. We are a divided body and will continue to be. I hope that within the coming years something comes about that creates inclusivity in our church. If not I will have to look at #eoac19
To my LGBTQ+followers: although my denomination and my conference have now backed the results that came out of the 2019 special conference, know that I will continue to fight until you can have a seat at the table equally with us. I apologize for their decision and I hope #eoac19
My heart hurts. Tears are being shed over here in the North Coast District. #eoac19
“I feel we have let Satan into our church” you mean by showing love and compassion? By loving others as I would love myself? By forgetting and forgiving of sins? I’m missing something I think. #eoac19
I don’t know if I will ever give a test to my students by scantron again after experiencing #eoac19 #collegeprofessor
Voted down a petition to make domestic violence a chargeable offense. Yes that’s right. This body doesn’t think abuse is chargeable but marrying two people who love each other but are the same gender is an affront to God #eoac19
I wore my friends shirt because I thought this could be “the one time we work quickly” #eoac19
This isn’t a “get this over with” kind of issue. #eoac19
Live look at #eoac19
Do no harm. Do good. Stay in love with God. All Wesleyan essentials. All call us to support those who have been victimized. All ignored when shooting down the petition to make domestic violence a chargeable offense. #eoac19
Lunch break. T-4 hours until we’re kicked out of Hoover 😂 #eoac19
Alright Steve Bailey 👏👏 #eoac19
