"I apologise for hurting your feelings BUT other people did much worse." ❌
Instead, say:
"I apologise for hurting your feelings. I promise I would do better." ✔️

- No 'buts' and 'ifs'.
When we are taking responsibility or accountability for our actions, we are taking it without further excuse.
So, the following should be avoided:
"I apologise IF I hurt your feelings." ❌
Instead, say:
"I apologise FOR hurting your feelings." ✔️

Some notes:
- Admin is inclined to British English spelling, so I used 'apologise.' Both 'apologise' and 'apologize' are correct.
- It's important to specify what we are apologising for. This is to signify that we acknowledge what we did wrong.
