And the statements that followed deserve forensic attention.

There is a psycholinguistic pattern here that any seasoned resource investor will recognise;
When a CEO has nothing, he talks about process. He talks about logistics. He talks about the weather. He uses words like "systematic," "methodical," and "on schedule."
When a CEO has something, he talks about the rocks. He leans into adjectives. He repeats himself. The filter between his brain and his mouth begins to thin.
Tristan repeated the words "really interesting" three times. He deployed "pleased" five times across four variations, culminating in the emphatic "really really pleased." He used "exciting" and "really exciting."

Now we move from progress to the rock itself. "Coming out the ground" is a deliberate phrase. It is visceral. It conjures an image of the drill pipe retracting and the cuttings spilling onto the pad.
"Really interesting" is the most important two-word combination in the entire interview.
In mining code, "interesting" is the word you use when "spectacular" would get you suspended. It sits one rung below "visually encouraging" and two rungs above "as expected."

Now the emotional dam bursts.
"Really really pleased." The doubling of the intensifier is rare in rehearsed corporate speech. It is the verbal equivalent of someone gripping the lectern to stop himself from shouting.
He is linking the visual evidence from the drill hole with the surface mapping and sampling the team completed while waiting for the rig. That is crucial.
It means the subsurface chips are confirming the surface expression. The model is holding. The geology is consistent. The target is real.

This is a sleeper line that many will overlook. David Rawlings is the newly appointed exploration manager, a veteran Northern Territory geologist who used to own the Lander West tenement himself.
He has taken projects to FID. He is not a junior hire.
Tristan is telling the market that Rawlings is on site, actively involved, and making a material difference to the programme.
Why mention this now?

Repetition is the hallmark of genuine sentiment. When someone is lying or dissembling, they vary their vocabulary. When they are telling the truth and trying to contain it, they circle back to the same words.
"Really pleased" appears again. "Really well" joins the chorus. He is not searching for new adjectives because he does not want to accidentally say the one that gets him in trouble. He is sticking to the script of permitted language, but the frequency of use is the tell.
