The #FLLoCA Program Implementation Support Mission continues across Kenya, monitoring the progress of climate investments that are transforming communities. Across Bomet, Makueni, Kericho, Kitui, Embu, and Kisumu counties, investments in water, agriculture, green energy, and other climate resilience initiatives are improving livelihoods, strengthening sustainability, and building more resilient communities.
#FLLoCA Program and the County Goverment of Bomet delivered 1500 tilapia fingerlings and 300Kgs of fish feeds to fish farmers to support climate-smart aquaculture, improve food security, and diversify livelihoods.
The County Climate Change Unit is implementing the construction and equipment of 26 fish ponds across Bomet.
The next phase of #FLLoCA Program looks beyond resilience to opportunity: renewable energy, green technologies and carbon markets; creating jobs for our youth and advancing low-carbon development. As FLLoCA Program enters its final phase this December, our resolve is clear: sustain the gains, institutionalize the systems, and keep communities at the centre of climate action.
