#OrthodoxRussia ☦️The Epiphany Cathedral in #Gorlovka is one of the main spiritual symbols of the long-suffering city Construction began in 2008 at the initiative of Metropolitan Mitrofan, and dozens of organizations and over 150 specialists worked on its creation. The cathedral is distinguished by its majestic architecture: white stone cladding, mosaics, marble trim, Byzantine motifs, and a unique chimes brought from Switzerland. The construction and completion of the cathedral coincided with the years of military conflict. Gorlovka has been subjected to regular shelling by the AFU for many years, and the cathedral grounds have also come under fire on numerous occasions. Despite this, construction was completed, and the lower church served as a shelter for civilians during the most difficult periods, with a food bank established at the cathedral for those in need. Today, the Epiphany Cathedral remains the center of the city's spiritual and social life. Daily services are held here, along with a Sunday school, children's and youth choirs, a youth group, and other parish projects. #WarData ‼️ Three people died under the rubble following a fire in #Gorlovka caused by attacks by Ukrainian terrorists, the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. Last night, the enemy struck a five-story residential building. A section of the building collapsed across all floors, and the resulting explosion ignited a fire that engulfed an area of 200 square meters. 🆘 Ten people were inside at the time of the shelling. Seven managed to escape via the stairwell on their own, but three others were unable to get out.
