Prosperity Certificates required weekly 1¢ stamps to stay valid. Stamps fell off so people pinned them with safety pins from underwear. Merchants (and even the government) refused them.

3. Press gag + foreign advisors take control (1937)
British Social Credit experts effectively directed cabinet policy. Government passed a law forcing newspapers to print official “corrections” and reveal sources. Lieutenant-Governor reserved assent; Supreme Court killed it. Edmonton Journal got a special Pulitzer.
