Beyond the Noise: A Journey Back to the Mind 💭✨ The Unlikely Observer 🕊️ I never cared about politics. For 49 years, I watched the world go by without ever feeling the need to pick a side, follow an administration, or check a box on a ballot. I was completely content living my life outside of that arena, viewing the political machine as something far removed from my day-to-day reality. 🌿 Then came 2020. 🌪️ Like so many others, the noise of the world became impossible to ignore. For the first time in my life, I found myself paying attention, watching the news, and even attempting to register to vote. It was a massive shift—a sudden pull into a world I had intentionally avoided. But looking back now, I see that moment not as a turn toward politics, but as a wake-up call to pay attention to the world at large. 👁️✨ Reclaiming the Lens & Following Inner Guidance 🧭 When you don’t play the game by traditional rules, people are quick to tell you that you don't have a voice. I’ve heard it plenty of times: "If you didn't vote, you don't get to say anything." I’ve even had family point fingers at me, trying to use religion or guilt to say I was "going against God" by not falling in line with political systems. But the truth is, stepping back felt like my own way of casting a vote—a vote to not participate in a system that didn't align with my spirit. I completely respect that others chose to engage, operating from a sincere desire to make things better; I just came to realize that the game itself wasn't one I could lend my energy to. Looking back, I can see why I always pulled away. There was an intuitive, physical sense inside my body—a quiet discernment telling me that what we are voting on simply isn't what our forefathers had in mind when they laid the groundwork for liberty. I chose to reject something manufactured that has nothing to do with helping us truly thrive and be successful as a country. Besides, as a citizen and a taxpayer, my hard-earned money is being taken and spent regardless of whether I drop a ballot in a box. If my non-vote meant I had no say, then by that same logic, they shouldn't be taking my money either! You don't need permission from a system or a group to care about your country or trust your own spirit. At the end of the day, we all got caught up in the production to varying degrees, and there's no room for pointing fingers or saying "I told you so." Stepping back isn't about feeling superior; it's simply about taking a breath, refusing to feed the theater with our energy, and remembering that we are all just trying to find our way home to truth. 🎭
