It changed because they couldn't complete even two men's SFs in one day after #Anderson beat #Isner 26-24 in 5th set after 6 hr 36 min & then #Nadal - #Djokovic were forced to play Indoors in next SF to get more match time in - they managed 3 sets on Friday in 2nd SF. Shockingly the SF was resumed Indoors next day despite the bright sunshine.. This created huge backlash and prompted rule change to TB at 12-12 which was later made uniform with match TB at 6-6.

Not all of it but most #Wimbledon matches even featuring top stars like #Sampras, #Ivanisevic, #Krajickek, #Stich was like watching the servebots of recent years like #Isner, #Opelka -many matches being dominated by aces/unreturned serves & was terrible to watch from a fan point of view. #Becker & #Edberg produced some stunning volleys (diving volleys were great to watch), great S & V but it was still not the NORM (lot of points still ended around 2/3 shot mark). The women's game was better since GOAT #Martina was all grace with her sumptuous volleying skills and the southpaw reaching the final at almost 38 in 1994 was perhaps THE most stunning performance in tennis history! That too in an era where science & recovery was not as advanced as it's now.
