7/ Progress on the enhanced-magic-tracking d10 for
#InvisibleSunRPG!
This step was cutting out all of the individual d10 face stickers. Which was slightly tedious. (Also, yesterday I spraypainted the wooden d10 with black paint.)
6/6 I made this because:
A) My "old man eyes" have a hard time reading the enhanced/diminished notes on the Sooth cards, especially from across the table, and
B) I walk around a lot when I GM, so I'm often even farther away from the current Sooth card.
1/ In an other, other non-work project, my laser-cut giant wooden d10 arrived from Etsy. The goal is to add stickers & make it a big visual reminder (for #InvisibleSunRPG) of what color of magic is enhanced by the current Sooth card.
I'll be running the official #InvisibleSunRPG one-shot adventure, "We Begin at the End," at @GameholeCon this year! Saturday Oct 19, 6pm, 5 players, premade characters provided, an excellent introduction to this surreal fantasy RPG! I'll repost when event registration is open!
When I run #InvisibleSunRPG I prefer the physical books over PDFs. I made a handwritten index on the inside front covers of The Key and The Way with pages that I reference often. (I did this with my Pathfinder core rulebook, too, for work.)
A thing I made for #InvisibleSunRPG: a 2" cube with the Sooth deck families on four sides, plus the symbol, and any vislae PC's name who is family. That way I everyone can easily see what family (and PC) is enhanced by the current card. (Yes, royalty cards complicate things.)
Ran session #3 of my #InvisibleSunRPG narrative today! Their highlights include:
• Visiting the Celestial Bazaar
• Buying ivum and using it for a specific incantation
• Being startled when I tore out a page from the Enchiridion & handed it to them as in-game lore. :D
