Do atheists know that God actually hates “religion” for the word itself comes from a root that means “to bind.” If you want to see how God feels about religion just look at Jesus. His greatest enemies werent sinners….they were the most religious people of His day: the scribes, Pharisees and leaders who ultimately crucified Him. Religion imposes impossible burdens on people burdens that have “nothing” to do with knowing God. Knowing Him isnt about man made rules, rituals or regulations to earn access to Him. Thats impossible. The living God doesnt offer humanity religion thru His only begotten Son. He offers something far more authentic…a genuine opportunity to know Him by the power of the Holy Spirit. The next time you think about how much u hate religion just remember its the very thing Jesus opposed because following Him is the exact opposite of religion.
