Letlow sits on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development — the subcommittee that controls federal DOE funding. The same funding stream that could deliver $600 million to Gray Stream’s company. Did she ever disclose that her fiancé lobbies for CCS at Jones Walker — the firm that testified against Louisiana landowners? Did she ever recuse herself from anything touching CCS funding? We’d like to know. Scalise gets a Senate ally who will never touch the 45Q tax credits funding the entire CCS industry. Stream gets the $600M grants. Hebert runs the attacks and strategizes his way to more power. Letlow gets the Senate seat. Louisiana landowners get the dumping ground, the pipelines, the land seizures, and the permanent liability.
