Mondal, junto a su suplente Luis Suárez, había sido beneficiado con fallos previos, manteniéndose en el cargo a pesar de no cumplir los requisitos de ley.

Those who supported the Hasina regime and opposed the pro-democracy movement in #Bangladesh are doing all they can to paint the interim government in a bad light. Ultimately every government has to bear responsibility for what happens on their watch. Recognizing this, @ChiefAdviserGoB has invited critics to point out the interim government's shortcomings. This is a welcome move. So, some of the criticism is a good thing even as others continue to peddle misinformation or disinformation.
All that said, there is still a fundamental difference between the interim government and that which preceded it. As more and more evidence of the crimes of the Hasina dictatorship come to light, it is undeniable that there was a systematic effort to deny Bangladesh's citizens their rights--whether to freedom of speech, assembly, voting, or ultimately life. All this was done in an effort to retain power in order to advance the leadership's personal and political agendas. The regime's domestic and international supporters kept quiet about this and were complicit in these crimes.
Only the most biased partisans are now alleging that recent incidents are the result of a conscious policy by the interim government to victimize opponents. Rather, these incidents appear to be the result of local dynamics including the understandable (if not justifiable) desire to settle scores after the past 15 years. These incidents are also happening in an environment in which the justice sector and the overall administration are not functioning properly as a result of the damage done to these in recent years.
All the above is intended to point out that there is no moral or other equivalence between the evil regime that collapsed on August 5 and the government that took office soon thereafter.
