@landlord_secret Our managing agent wanted to audit our doors, but under the law, if your building is low risk (less than 11 metres high), you do not need door audits. It is just a good practice and extra way for the #managingagent to extract money from #leaseholders.
@Victoria_Spratt We are lucky to be set up as a Resident Management Company, but we are encountering the very same challenges with our #managingagent. They always recommend the most expensive option even if it is not relevant to our development! We end up working harder than them as their client

I pushed back and asked what has led them to propose such an extreme approach. I want to see all the paperwork and possible payment plan if they offer any.

I was against 3 sets of #solicitors (from the #freeholder, one #leaseholder, & the #managingagent) & found that the main argument from the freeholder s lawyer was a lie. I tricked him & made him confess. A few ยฃ thousands saved!

Handover, sinking fund, ... plus, I would be delighted if you were able to give me the name of at least one #managingagent transparent, trustworthy with integrity. They do not exist in the UK.

@LiamSpender We chose our #managingagent, yet theyโre bullying us with unnecessary โauditsโ they perform themselves at rip-off prices. Most #managingagents arenโt managing - theyโre milking #leaseholders dry. Leaseholders need real control over service charges. Enough is enough. #RogueAgents

I regularly get the feedback that I am the most demanding Director they ever experienced. They have 100 s clients, and no one is questioning their scammy fee structures & audits.
@SHAC_Action Same issue with us. The #managingagent is coming up with ghost invoices we constantly need to challenge. I spend a good 10 hours a week challenging our managing agent work. #leasehold #leaseholdisascam
