g-Al2O3 structure isn't well-characterised, but based on the AB2O4 spinel. B-site vacancies correct the stoichiometry. 15mm brass = O-atoms, 7mm aluminium= aluminium atoms. Vacancies are 7mm brass w/ a black patina. One of the most challenging #molecularmodels we've built.

Setting up #molecularmodels in #virtualreality for training. Using #MetaQuest2 headsets for viewing allows for easy identification of orbitals and allows viewing of orthogonal lone pairs

A rather lovely molecular model of a molecule that we sent out today, complete with lots of double and triple bonds. The balls are 7mm in diameter, and the bonds are all made in brass, displayed on a nice oak plinth. #molecularmodels https://t.co/Dl9UHY67Fr
