Francine Daniels’ film SOULS OF MY FEET is about a woman who discovers the disability in the soles of her feet unleashes the shero hidden in her inner soul. It’s one of three EDFC films being screened at @hollyshorts #monthlyscreening on October 30th.
Francine says, “the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge provides filmmakers an outlet to fearlessly tell their stories, shatter stereotypes, and depict the spectrum of disabled people’s experiences. I’m thrilled that SOULS OF MY FEET has been selected for the HollyShorts Monthly Screening Series to further raise awareness about invisible disabilities.”

Aisha Singleton’s film GHOST BAE is about an actress at the crossroads of her life and career finding romance and inspiration in a ghost. It’s one of three EDFC films being screened at @hollyshorts #monthlyscreening on October 30th.
Aisha says, “I am over the moon that my short film GHOST BAE was selected to screen for HollyShorts at the iconic Chinese Theatre! I wrote the film as a love note to Old Hollywood so this feels like a dream come true. My gratitude is immeasurable for the opportunity to participate in Easterseals Disability Film Challenge this year. It has been a catalyst for my emerging career as a Filmmaker.
I can’t think of a more impactful way to highlight the vast talents across disciplines of the disability community!”

Emily says, “to have my own movie - that I don't only star in it, but also direct, write, edit, and produce - in the theater, where Hollywood icons laid their hands in the pavement and where movies like Star Wars premiered, was the very last thing I expected in my career. I'm equally as thrilled for my castmates, whom one has autism and another is deaf in one ear, and my crewmates to be on that blindly silver screen. This would have never happened if it wasn't for EDFC and the wonders it does to disabled actors/filmmakers.”
