@LeosNeonatal Thank you. It was a tough discussion but I’m really glad I did it. It’s so important that #babyloss doesn’t get ignored or swept to one side. Unfortunately, it happens to more parents than you might think and being open about it is so important
@LeosNeonatal We had so many parents come out of the woodwork to say they had experienced #babyloss and offer us support, help and love, and we want to be there to do the same for anyone unfortunate enough to go through a similar thing #NICUhour
@LeosNeonatal Ah actually - I was ready to go and do it but COVID hit and so I didn’t get to speak to anyone! But I’m hoping that, when it’s safe, I’ll be able to help in the future.

@LeosNeonatal @NICUMHAW Good!! It is vital. We actually felt amazingly lucky that Arthur lived for those 4 short days so we had access to Helen - if he’d been stillborn, we wouldn’t have had any help at our hospital, which seems shocking to me #babyloss #NICUhour
@serhamilton @LeosNeonatal Absolutely! It’s fundamental. Luckily at Newcastle we have excellent psychological support funded by @TinyLivesTrust but I am aware for some families/parents not having the support must be unbearable #NICUhour
