Immigrants can now be dumped in countries they have never lived in — places the U.S. itself has accused of torture and abuse — without a real chance to object. The order lets the sadistic authoritarian Trump administration restart its Nazi-inspired rapid-removal machine: people shipped to Liberia, Equatorial Guinea, the Central African Republic, and other dumping grounds, often with little notice and no meaningful hearing. The destination is not their home. The risk is persecution, torture, and death. The Court did not bother to explain itself. The three liberal justices dissented. This is not a technical stay. It is a green light for a policy whose whole design is to terrorize people by sending them somewhere worse than the place they fled. If cruelty were not the point, they would not need the midnight order.
