We unequivocally condemn the military aggression carried out by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran. These attacks constitute a serious breach of Iran’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the fundamental principles of the Charter of the United Nations. They have endangered the lives of civilians and conscripted military personnel, resulting in loss of life, severe injuries, and forced displacement. Furthermore, they have caused extensive destruction of civilian infrastructure, inflicted long-term environmental damage, and imposed lasting humanitarian consequences on present and future generations. The use of force in violation of international law undermines the rules-based international order and threatens international peace and security. Where such acts intentionally or indiscriminately target civilians or civilian infrastructure, they may constitute war crimes and other serious violations of international humanitarian law, requiring prompt, impartial, and independent investigation. No political objective, geopolitical interest, strategic calculation, or claim of liberation can justify the unlawful use of force against the people or territory of a sovereign State. All individuals and authorities responsible for planning, authorizing, executing, facilitating, or publicly promoting such acts of aggression must be held accountable in accordance with international law. We call upon the international community, the United Nations, and all relevant international mechanisms to uphold the principles of the UN Charter, protect civilian populations, defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of States, and ensure that violations of international law do not go unanswered. Peace, security, sovereignty, and freedom from aggression are fundamental rights of every nation.
