Anne Spigt showed at the Dutch psychiatry congress #NVvP the data of a study on intensive trauma-focused treatment (6 days, over three weeks with 4 sessions a day) of personality disorders. At the follow-up of one year after treatment of the first 17 patients more than 80% diagnosis loss was found (using the SCID-5-P).
Today is the symposium on the treatment of personality disorders with trauma-focused therapy at the #NVVP congress in Maastricht. New data showing that with 10 sessions of #EMDR therapy focused on memories of physical and sexual violence, but also emotional violence and neglect, more than 40% of people no longer meet the criteria for a personality disorder.
