Added animation to my targetting cursor. It overshoots a bit and bounces back. Effing christ on a stick this kind of detail is what makes a game delicious. #gamedev | #oricana | #indiedev

Having an architect for a gf came in pretty handy when designing areas for #Oricana. I had cute sprites and colors, but the layout was more "random rpg town" than an actual place. #gamedev | #indiedev

Worked a lot on world map UI (w/ good advice from gf). Especially the info about levels in the top left was tricky to get right, but it's pretty expandable now, and conveys info, without a lot of wasted space. #oricana | #gamedev | #indiedev | #pixelart | #ドット絵

#Oricana update - inventory is just a bar with icons now - controls can be shown on-screen for play-testing - end turn is just the shortcut now - will convert instances of having to hold a button for a second, into pressing it 3 times (ending turn, crafting) #gamedev | #indiedev

Girlfriend suggested a playtest UI for #Oricana since normal play and playtest conditions are completely different. I thought it was brilliant, but is this a normal thing in #gamedev ? I've never heard of it before

Nagged my dev-buddy into fixing my big gripe with the timing in #oricana. Incredibly worth it. The game has finally achieved the feature of being a turn-based game that is (almost) as fast as you can input your commands. #gamedev #gamedevelopment #indiedev #pixelart
