After Labour Day, the Liberals have a planned gas tax hike. At a time when Canadians face economic uncertainty and tight budgets, the last thing they need is to pay more at the pumps. Conservatives have been calling on the Liberal government to extend the excise tax holiday on gas and diesel for the rest of the year, remove the GST on fuel, and permanently eliminate the fuel regulations to save Canadians around $20 per fill-up and about $500 for a family of four through the rest of the year. Canadians need relief now. It’s time for the Liberal government to deliver it.
