Kathy Hochul had a choice today. Sheridan Gorman's mother and father stood in front of the police department in their hometown and begged the Governor of New York to stop promoting the policies that got their daughter killed. Jessica Gorman said: "Enough is enough. Kathy Hochul, enough is enough." And Kathy Hochul looked at that grieving mother and father and answered with an insult. She didn't say Sheridan's name - instead, Kathy decided to demean Jessica and Tom’s plea for change by dismissing it as the family being “exploited.” Kathy saved her outrage for federal law enforcement, but she couldn't spare one word of accountability for the illegal immigrant who murdered an 18-year-old New Yorker. That's the system Kathy Hochul is defending. Then Kathy had the nerve to claim "nothing in our laws prevents violent criminals from being turned over to ICE." That is a flat-out lie. Sanctuary jurisdictions declined or ignored more than 26,000 ICE detainers on criminal illegal aliens in less than three years. More than 10,000 of them were released and rearrested for new crimes. And Kathy Hochul just signed a law that punishes police departments across New York State for cooperating with ICE or DHS, stripping local police departments of funding if they dare to hand a violent criminal over to federal authorities. Jessica Gorman said a 10-second phone call could have saved her daughter's life. Ten seconds. Kathy Hochul's response tells every New Yorker exactly where she stands: ten seconds is still too much to ask. Here is what that mother said to her daughter, reading the letter Sheridan wrote to her future self: "We will never get to meet 22-year-old you, because you were killed by these sanctuary policies that Kathy Hochul and the Democrats in New York are doubling down on." We aren’t even safe in our own homes! 🤬 In May, five masked men climbed over a fence and broke into a Huddersfield property by smashing a kitchen back window after 19‑year‑old Rayhaan Saleem checked via a Ring doorbell that only a mother and her daughter were inside. The mother saw them on her camera and called 999 and she and her daughter barricaded themselves in a bedroom. Officers thankfully arrived within minutes, arrested the group while they were still inside, and recovered a machete. Saleem ALREADY had convictions for robbery and weapons offences, but this week received JUST 26 months in a young offenders’ institution for burglary and possession of a bladed article. Three of the other men remain unnamed and one escaped. The harm was psychological but profound. In her victim statement, the mother described lasting anxiety, depression, PTSD symptoms, disrupted sleep, heart palpitations, fear of loud noises or smashing glass, and the loss of any sense of safety in her own home. She and her daughter have been staying elsewhere since the attack. Yet again, another attack against us and yet again more two-tier justice.

A white British woman and her young daughter were forced to barricade themselves in a bedroom after five Muslims climbed over their fence and smashed their way into their home at 2.05am on Deighton Road, Huddersfield. Police arrested four of them at the scene (two hiding in a bathroom). One fled and is still at large. A machete was found inside. Rayhaan Saleem, 19, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 26 months in a young offenders’ institute. Case against Mohammed Amin is still ongoing, and police have not yet published the names of the other three offenders.
