On May 22, our SDF and Coalition forces conducted a joint security operation in Tal Kocher. The operation resulted in capturing an ISIS terrorist named Waddah Marwan Taisan, aka "Al-Awdah" who was involved in online propaganda & recruitment via Telegram. Our SDF remains committed to eradicating ISIS and ensuring regional security.

Update – In a precise security operation supported by the International Coalition, our commando forces captured several ISIS terrorists in the city of Al-Busayrah, located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The operation was conducted following the monitoring of the terrorist cell’s movements. Additional details will be released at a later time. Our forces remain committed, in coordination with the International Coalition, to the complete elimination of the ISIS terrorist organization and to ensure lasting security and stability in Syria.

Our forces, with support from the local populace, foiled an ISIS plot in Darnach, Deir Ezzor's eastern countryside. The terrorist cell was planting an IED in the area to target our forces, but our forces successfully thwarted their terrorist plot, eliminating one terrorist. Security operations continue.

SDF forces successfully thwarted two ISIS attacks in the countrysides of Deir Ezzor and al-Hasaka. The first attack occurred in Markada, south of al-Hasaka, where a checkpoint intercepted a vehicle with weapons and ammunition. An ISIS cell launched an attack on the checkpoint, but our forces bravely repelled it. The second attack took place in Sweidan, Deir Ezzor, where a terrorist cell targeted one of our security patrols. No casualties were reported among our forces. We remain vigilant and committed to protecting the region.

Our Forces Increase Security Measures in Response to ISIS Terrorist Activity Over the past two days, the terrorist organization ISIS has carried out a series of organized terrorist attacks in Deir Ezzor, reflecting the terrorist schemes of the terrorist organization. As a result of these terrorist attacks, five of our fighters were martyred and several others injured while repelling two attacks—one targeting a military post in the town of Al-Jazarat in western Deir Ezzor countryside, and the other targeting a military vehicle in the town of Dhiban in the east.
In response to these systematic terrorist plots, our forces, along with our military councils, have intensified security measures and increased patrols throughout the region. These measures come amid an escalation in terrorist activity across Syria, particularly in Deir Ezzor, where ISIS continues to attempt fixed level in operations targeting military, administrative, and social structures.
