We're pleased to report there's been lots of progress on the #PictureHouseProject in recent weeks.
Our lamppost & gas lights are now reinstated, alongside other big milestones like new & restored terrazzo flooring throughout the building. In summary - itβs all happening! (1/2)

We also carried out brick repointing and stone repairs, repainted the iconic HPPH lettering, and entirely reconstructed the parapet at the top.

The #PictureHouseProject is only possible thanks to support from @HeritageFundNOR/@HeritageFundUK.
So to create more space in the foyer for audiences, and a new accessible toilet, a major part of the #PictureHouseProject has been to move the foyer back-wall further into the auditorium.
However this change couldnβt be done without disturbing the historic mantelpiece above. 2/5
We're delighted that the original terrazzo floor in our foyer β hidden under carpet & vinyl tiles for 60 years β is in great condition.
Alongside a few small repairs, the floor will soon receive a sand, clean & polish, bringing it back to its former glory. #PictureHouseProject
2023 is set to be a big year for HPPH as work on our @heritagefunduk supported #PictureHouseProject enters its final stages!
Our contractors @Triton_Ltd are now focusing on the final decoration, joinery, electrical & conservation work required ahead of our reopening this April.
