For this #PSPWednesday, I have Lord of Arcana, an action RPG in the same vein as Monster Hunter but with creature designs by various famed artists and cameos from other Square Enix franchises. It features the ability to summon monsters to assist in combat. US release was in 2011.
Never meant to get three copies of these bad boy, but it just happened 😉
Although, the best part of getting the PSP version is that it comes with the sequel 'The After Years' and character profile cards.
And incidently, I only finished the game on the PSP as well.

A couple of fantastic games at the palm of your hands.
As with the home console, you can 'Chain' (no pun) your button sequence for a satisfying and devastating results.
Both PSP titles were reviewed with favorable results.

For #PSPWednesday I’ve got White Knight Chronicles: Origins, set during the Dogma Wars 10,000 years prior to the PS3 games. You play a mercenary who operates from a mobile train base enlisting NPCs or online friends to tackle missions. This is one of few EU imports I own for PSP.
A game I was happy to finish some years back. There are guest appearance such as Nightcrawler, Shocker, Logan, and more. Not too long of a game, I remember finishing around 15 hours or less. My kind of gaming!

For #PSPWednesday I’ve got 2006’s Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. Not only did this game showcase PSP’s power with slick graphics, deep mechanics and cinematic story, it featured 8-player ad hoc and infrastructure modes complete with voice chat. It was later released on PS2, as well.
For this #PSPWednesday I’ve got all 4 Persona handheld ports including the import Eternal Punishment, plus Japanese and North American editions of P3P which added a female version of the protagonist as well as full party control. This series stands among my all-time favorite IPs.
One of the best rpg I played on the good old Sony PSP. I can still hear the Valkyrie shouting "Nibelung Valesti" (I hope I got it right 😁)
Beat this game, but I got the most disappointed finale. Me thinks I should give it a try again to get a different outcome.

For this #PSPWednesday I have Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Portable, a 2012 board and adventure game based on the light novel, manga and anime series. It features 9 characters each with unique storylines though only Akihisa, Yuuji, Hideyoshi and Kouta are selectable from the start.
Planning on pre ordering Belmont's Curse. Been a fan of the Castlevania since Circle of the Moon and the Netflix show.
The Dracula X Chronicles on the PSP is enough to whip your platformer cravings, on the go!

For this #PSPwednesday I have Boku no Natsuyasumi 4, the most recent entry in the series released in 2009. It’s a single-player adventure where you spend summer vacation in a Japanese coastal village exploring, catching bugs, fishing, swimming and more (all set in the year 1985).
Persona 4 was the first Persona I played (and beat) but I fell in love with 3. I guess because of Mitsuru ❤️. And I'm just amazed they were able to pack this in, even with PSP's limitation.
Would like to try Persona 5 next.

For this #PSPWednesday I’ve got 2007’s Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. Its iconic mashup of RPG and match-3 puzzle elements became so popular that it led to a direct sequel, sci-fi themed variant, licensed Marvel and Magic: The Gathering entries and a new Switch version.
Never got around playing Sakura Wars 1 & 2, but from what I gathered, this is a beloved japanese strategy game, that mixes dating sim, with a hint of steampunk.
Unfortunately, the west release never came to fruition and been stuck in japan.
Loved the cover art!

This #PSPWednesday I’ve got WipEout Pure and Pulse, both top-notch handheld entries in the anti-gravity racing series that premiered on the original PlayStation. Aside from multiplayer features, these releases also experimented w/ DLC and even custom skins shared via portal site.
One of the coolest rpg I was happy to finish. Although I had to resort to Google to get out of the puzzle forest, still a great experience.
There's a Switch game coming up for this but not sure I'm going to get it.

For #PSPWednesday I have G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, a video game tie-in set directly after the events of 2009’s live action film. It’s admittedly pretty mediocre, but PSP might claim the most serviceable of its 7 versions due to bug fixes and how it suits a handheld experience.
My 2nd fave FF of all time. Though the final boss here is no joke. One of the toughest mofos I ever beat.
Characters, music, story, this one have a special olace in my gaming heart ❤️ 🎮

For #PSPWednesday I’ve got Phantom Brave, the handheld port of what many consider among the greatest tactical RPGs ever made. Admittedly this version can’t claim top performance, but portability usually wins out for me as long as technical sacrifices don’t detract from enjoyment.
