#Liebour have been in (real) government for over 2 years
Did they-
#SaveGrangemouth?
#ReduceEnergyBills?
#NoLabourAusterity?
NO
Instead we got
#WinterFuelRobbery
22 months of #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause
#IncomeStealthTax
#NIHike
#RedToriesOut!!
The SNP is making promises for its first 100 days but the record of its last 7000 days speaks for itself.
The party that opposed @thsSNP's #ScottishChildPayment, that suspended MPs for voting to scrap #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause, stuck Scotland with billions in #PFI debt interest & continued Tory #Austerity does NOT get to pontificate about #ChildPoverty
Just more #Liebour lies
The SNP has failed to deliver any real change for Scotland’s most vulnerable young people.

@RussellFindlay1 @ScotTories @RuthDavidsonPC @AnnieWells2026 @Sandeshgulhane #rapeclause Ruth. Got her reward in the Lords. Jings.
Blatant #Liebour - expect much of this 💩
Scottish Labour MPs voted AGAINST scrapping Tory #TwoChildLimit/ #RapeClause in 2024
Embarrassed into scrapping after 2 years in power ONLY NOW in effect
@theSNP #ScottishChildPayment -> Scotland ONLY UK nation reducing #ChildPoverty
The UK Labour Government is improving children's lives across the UK, including lifting 2,260 in West Dunbartonshire out of poverty.
We need a Scottish Labour Government more interested in an education recovery programme rather than the same gimmicks & more SNP broken promises.
Not mentioned - #ScottishChildPayment- lifting Scottish children out of poverty
Meanwhile Tories & Labour maintained #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause
#Liebour said they would remove 2 Child limit if elected- they were, they didn't.... until embarrassed into it by @theSNP & others
Well done Alison on finally seeing #2ChildCap gone- but the damage caused by increased #ChildPoverty remains.
You were the one who raised the issue of the heinous #RapeClause and your relentless campaigning helped get rid of it! 💪✊
Nine years to the day since it came into force, the two child limit and the rape clause are scrapped.
Thinking of all the families whose lives were made harder and who struggled to get by for all these years.
Always grateful to everyone who stood against this cruel policy.
The party that fired its MP's for voting to SCRAP #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause in 2024 & NEVER acknowledges @theSNP's highly effective #ScottishChildPayment, writes....
PS #TwoChildLimit STILL in place despite #Liebour claiming it is gone - not until 5th April it isn't
I am fighting for the 1 in 4 children growing up in poverty in Dundee. Scotland Needs Change. Child Poverty is a Political Choice and the SNP’s record is hiding in plain sight for all to see in Dundee, with 26.1% of children living in Poverty. @ScotCoopParty @ScotLabourWom @ScottishLabour
@theSNP So many toxic replies!
Who knew tackling #ChildPoverty could be controversial?
Forget "Westminster scrapped #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause - almost TWO YEARS after #Liebour elected committed to scrapping it, it is STILL in plave
Scotland only UK nation w/ Child Poverty falling
They are called #Liebour for a reason
Only #ScottishChildPayment has "lifted children out of poverty"
#RachelFromAccounts highlighted removal of odious Tory #TwoChildLimit/ #RapeClause several times today
But almost TWO FULL YEARS under Labour that policy STILL in effect today
Under the SNP:
❌ Record NHS waiting lists
❌ Falling school standards
A @UKLabour Government delivering for Scotland:
✅ 95,000 children lifted out of poverty
✅ An extra £11bn for @scotgov
✅ Investment in the Clyde shipyards
It's time for a new direction with @AnasSarwar
@nats_tired Well no sane woman would vote #Labour. Not after what they fought ti dent equal pay to women in Glasgow & Fife. Also kept the despicable #RapeClause in the #2ChildCap for far too long. #Labour are grifting scum.
The vile Tory #TwoChildLimit/ #RapeClause should have been dumped on Day 1 of a #Liebour Govt
Instead, they doubled down on it, suspending MPs who dared vote to dump it
No plan, no principles, no clue
#RedToriesOut
Pressed on 'Labour values' its telling that Heidi Alexander immediately cites scrapping the 2 child benefit cap.
A reminder that Starmer originally suspended 7 Labour MPs for voting to scrap the cap & the govt had to be dragged kicking & screaming to do it.
#Liebour🥀 desperately pumping this failure up as achievement
1.75 YEARS after "Change" landslide election win, this dire Tory #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause policy is STILL IN EFFECT
Scotland is ONLY UK nation lifting children out of #ChildPoverty thanks to #ScottishChildPayment
Labour's abolition of the two child cap passed its final stages in the House of Commons tonight.
1750 kids in Falkirk lifted out of poverty.
95,000 in Scotland.
450,000 across the UK.
Change being delivered by @ScottishLabour MPs walking through the lobbies tonight. 🌹🏴
Make the lie BIG - & keep repeating it
#ScottishChildPayment has lifted tens of thousands out of #ChildPoverty
Meanwhile, UK is STILL waiting for #Liebour's much-trumpeted end to #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause in April 2026, almost 2 years since they were elected
#RedToriesOut🥀
Shame on the SNP for trying to silence me on child poverty. They tried their best to shout me down today at PMQs but failed.
The SNP cannot handle the truth that they had 8 years to lift the two child benefit cap - it takes a Labour Government to deliver.
A reminder, for those who need it, this Bill introduced the nastiest clause ever to be included in a piece of UK legislation, the so-called #RapeClause. If applying for benefits for more than 2 children, a woman had to prove that subsequent child/ren were the result of rape...
Strangely, "Scottish" #Liebour MPs trumpeting removal of #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause want us to forget how they voted last year
Removal takes effect April 2026, almost TWO YEARS after they took power
UK #ChildPoverty increasing, except in Scotland w/ #ScottishChildPayment
#SlipperyStarmer's "moral mission"
That would be the one where it takes #Liebour almost 2 years - July 2024 to April 2026 - to dump cruel Tory #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause
Last year, he fired Labour MPs who wanted to do it sooner
If you don't like those morals, he has others
Under the Tories, the welfare bill went up by £88 billion.
They left children too poor to eat. They wrote young people off as too ill to work.
That costs the country money and is bad for productivity.
And it's a massive waste of potential.
This is a moral mission. We need to reform the welfare state, and remove all the incentives which hold back the potential of young people.
That’s what my government is doing.
@SaulStaniforth AND - Not implemented until April 2026
By then Labour will have presided over (& fired MPs for voting to scrap) #TwoChildLimit/ #RapeClause for almost 2 years!!!!
#Liebour saying that their scrapping of #TwoChildLimit/ #RapeClause will lift 450,000 children out of #Poverty
By time it is scrapped in April 2026, Labour in govt almost 2 years
How many of those children would ALREADY be out of poverty if Labour had dumped TCL/RC right away?
Here's Reeves telling us how bad child poverty is, that kids go to bed hungry, wake up in cold homes & end up in hospital with respiratory problems, all because of child poverty.
Last year Labour suspended 7 MPs from the PLP for voting to scrap the cap
She thinks we're idiots
McNeill desperately hoping Scots aren't paying attention
Just last year her party punished their MPs who dared vote to REMOVE #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause
36/37 "Scottish" Labour MPs voted to KEEP it
18 months in power, they have been shamed by @theSNP into removing it
One in ten.
#RachelFromAccounts really is a horror
She (& #SlipperyStarmer) KNEW keeping #TwoChildLimit / #RapeClause would increase Child Poverty but they did it anyway
Then Starmer expelled MPs who voted to scrap it
But they are languishing on the polls, so another U-turn!!
"I don't think we can lose sight, as well, of the costs to our economy in allowing child poverty to go unchecked” Chancellor Rachel Reeves
