Today I sold every last ounce of my gold and silver.
The great gold revaluation never happened. Instead, President Trump signed the new $100 bill, and Scott Bessent assured everyone it would strengthen the dollar and fix the monetary system once and for all.
Thatβs all the confirmation I needed.
Who needs thousands of years of monetary history when youβve got crisp new paper and a reassuring press conference?
I traded my stack for a wallet full of fresh hundreds. Inflation is officially canceled. Central banks have surely lost interest in gold. Governments definitely wonβt print any more money. Everything is fixed forever.
The coin shop owner looked confused as I walked out smiling with my stack of brand-new bills. Poor guy. Heβll understand eventually.
Anyway, Iβm off to frame one of these $100 notes as a long-term store of value.
I consider #silver and #gold to be Money, and therefore currencies, so I always keep an eye on the main antagonist to the #dollar in the fiat currency circus: the #euro.βΊοΈ
Don't get me wrong.
I certainly don't confuse #RealMoney with funny, ephemeral pieces of paper backed by nothing more than ignorant faith, debt, and the #government's ability to enforce fiscal coercion through its #monopoly of violence.π
From a #trading and #investing standpoint, though, it's crucial to separate what's simply dollar strength or weakness from what's actually driving #PreciousMetals prices underneath.π
