#ROMACT 22–24 July training in Romania 🇷🇴 strengthens capacities in project cycle management, budgeting, procurement, monitoring and the integrated approach to deliver tangible improvements for vulnerable communities.
Since 2013, 1⃣1⃣9⃣ municipalities in Romania have taken part in the #ROMACT process, strengthening local capacity and supporting the development of inclusive local policies and projects.
In Bulgaria, #ROMACT has been implemented in 84 municipalities since 2013, supporting local authorities through capacity building, joint planning and structured cooperation with communities.
👏#ROMACT wrapped up an inspiring series of workshops on community initiatives, national partnerships and child‑rights protection.
Municipalities, Roma representatives and institutions worked together to advance social inclusion in Greece.

“Housing is not about buildings but dignity” was the key note of the National Forum “Decent Home, Secure Future: Housing Conditions as a Key Determinant of Child Rights”, organised on Tuesday in Sofia by the Council of Europe #RomAct programme.
The Swiss Embassy was represented by the Head of the Swiss Contribution Office, Thomas Stauffer, who joined a panel together with the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Nikolay Naidenov, and Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Natalya Efremova. Mr Stauffer welcomed the intention to develop a funded national housing strategy and advocated for increasing related institutional capacity at local level. He also presented the #ZOVII programme, part of #SwissBulgarianContributionProgramme, which will address the broader housing insecurity concept in remote locations through provision of integrated social services and support to education.
Participants representing different institutions, and the civil society elevated the discussion addressing the housing topic with respect to child’s rights and shared their views on possible approaches in tackling housing deprivation and social exclusion for Roma.
