It’s been SIX years since we kicked off the #RunningDry campaign, as I set out to run 100 marathons in 100 days for water 🏃🏼♀️💧👇
As many of you know, I didn’t quite make it. On Marathon 62, I broke my leg. I so clearly remember sitting in a hospital in Cape Town, feeling devastated and thinking it was all over.
But it was just the beginning.
People from 44 countries and all 7 continents stepped up and ran for me—not just the remaining 38 marathons but an incredible 810 in total!
6 years later and we’ve built a global community of water warriors. I will always be grateful to those who ran when I couldn’t and to every single person who has carried this mission forward. You are amazing 🙏💕

The reason behind my #RunningDry campaign was that I realized in order to drive change I needed to not only share these stories I need to go there and give those who face water challenges daily a voice. So we ran, the target was 100 marathons, 100 days.
