The #RussellBuilding Rotunda is located at the main entrance of the building + has a diameter of 57 ft 4 in. Corinthian columns on a marble arcade support a richly detailed entablature and coffered dome. The oculus of the dome is glazed to flood the Rotunda with natural light.

The #RussellBuilding is the oldest of the Senate office buildings; officially opened #OTD 1909. It was designed in a U-shape to admit light to inner offices. The AOC was later directed to construct a fourth side to the building, the First Street wing, which was completed in 1933.
