395 migrants in seven boats were brought to Dover yesterday - as the weather improved following a spell of windy conditions at sea.
Wow - that's a massive amount for the #Starmada
707 migrants in 11 boats reached UK waters and were brought to Dover yesterday.
The number of migrants who have crossed the Channel in dangerously overloaded boats this year has passed 20,000. Figures from the Home Office show 614 people in 10 boats were brought to Dover yesterday.
After a week of bad weather, the #Starmada commences anew with a huge amount of arrivals.
I for one am glad to see our latest shipment of doctors and engineers arrive. No doubt they will also build more homes than they use.
The Home Office has just confirmed that 526 migrants in eight boats were brought to Dover yesterday - the first arrivals in a week following a period of windy weather. It takes this year’s total to 19,820 people.
The UK has now seen a six-day reprieve from the onslaught of the #Starmada, with bad weather having prevented crossings since 19th August.
It seems that the only thing we can rely on, is the stereotypical bad weather to keep our borders secure.

Home Office figures show 492 migrants in nine boats were brought to Dover yesterday.
Channel crossings: 125 people in three boats were brought to Dover yesterday. Almost 5,000 people have made the crossing since Labour came to power.
I know the French border police get lots of flak, but they are intercepting and preventing even more of the #Starmada than they are given credit for.
The arrivals would be 10-20% higher if not for their interventions.
