A couple of years ago, when my kids were small I felt I lost some filmmaking confidence. I did an evening course in Filmbase and it helped me get my mojo back. #savefilmbase #IrishFilm: Filmbase closes - The industry responds - Scannain https://t.co/LlapPZ8t6h via scannain_com

The reaction of the film industry to the closure of @filmbase shows the impact it had as an incubator for Irish film that has been flourishing in recent years. @FineGael don't give a damn about the creative arts #savefilmbase https://t.co/S9p9D5N7y6

. @filmbase have been an anchor of the Irish Film&TV sector supporting early stage filmmakers for 32 years. Such a shame to see them go into receivership when other agencies are subsidising commercial cinemas with public funds https://t.co/Ilh95abFB4 #savefilmbase

Awful news for the industry. Terrible for Alan and his team. Thanks for all the hard work over many years!#savefilmbase https://t.co/cH3O4YelEx

Very sad to see @filmbase closing. I’ve loved working with them over the years. They helped me in my early days with equipment hire & castings. They also supported Cardboard Gangsters and we couldn’t have made it without them. We need a petition for the government #savefilmbase

Seeing as the @IrishFilmBoard were prepared to pump money into @PalasGalway to keep it afloat when it went bust, maybe they could look into saving @filmbase?? Filmbase has given a vital start to so many young Irish film-makers and should be supported #savefilmbase @Scannain_com
