Some neat details I've gotten permission to share. Here's an example User.xml from an ITW exploited #ScreenConnect instance.
Threat actor performed authentication bypass, added new admin user "VdEPyNT" and gmail address (which could be anything, surprised they didn't use [email protected]).
LastActivityDate null time suggests they have not logged in or done anything else yet.
CreationDate and LastPasswordChangeDate give precise timestamp for compromise.
If you see your User.xml file clobbered and looking like this, it is a clear sign you got popped. :(
