I commend all our patriotic front-line soldiers in the fight against terrorism in all forms.
You stand as a shield between innocent citizens and those who seek to destroy the peace, safety, and dignity of our communities.
In the forests, on the roads, at forward operating bases, in the air, creeks, and across difficult terrains, you carry the burden of national protection so that millions of Nigerians can sleep, work, worship, farm, trade, and raise their children in hope.
This fight has not been easy. It has come with pain, pressure, and sacrifice. But your courage has remained firm. Your service is acknowledged. Your sacrifice is honoured. Your country does not take you for granted.
To every officer and soldier of our Armed Forces, to the Police, DSS, Civil Defence, intelligence services, local security formations, and all who work day and night to keep Nigeria safe, I say thank you.
I also acknowledge the families behind the uniform. Many of you have endured long absences, anxious nights, and the emotional cost of duty. Nigeria remembers that sacrifice, too.
We honour those who have paid the supreme price in defence of our country. Their names may not always trend, but their courage lives on in rescued communities, protected families, and the survival of the nation they served.
The fight against terror is not only a military operation. It is a national duty. Citizens must support our security forces by providing timely, useful information. When you see something, say something. When you know something, report it.
Nigeria will not surrender to fear. We will not allow terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, or violent extremists to define who we are as a people. Their violence is not our identity. Their hatred does not represent Nigerians of any faith, creed, or community.
To our troops and all front-line patriots, thank you for your courage. Thank you for your vigilance. Thank you for your service.
May the Almighty protect you as you protect our country.

WEEKEND EDITORIAL
Ribadu, ONSA, and the Strategic U.S.–Nigeria Security Axis 🇳🇬 🤝 🇺🇸
In the often turbulent theatre of international diplomacy, there are moments that transcend ceremony and enter the realm of strategic consequence. This week’s images from Washington of Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu (@NuhuRibadu), in high-level engagements with the Vice President of the United States, James David Vance (@JDVance @VP), and the United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio (@marcorubio @SecRubio), represent far more than diplomatic photo opportunities. They signal a maturing alliance between Nigeria and the United States, one increasingly anchored not only in economic or political convenience, but in the shared burden of confronting one of the defining security threats of our time: terrorism.
At a moment when extremist violence continues to test the resilience of fragile communities across West Africa, the optics of these meetings matter, but the substance matters even more. Intelligence sharing, military training, surveillance coordination, strategic advisory support, and technological collaboration are no longer optional tools in the modern security environment; they are necessities. Nigeria, as Africa’s most populous nation and one of its most consequential regional powers, sits at the frontline of this battle. The United States, with its unmatched security infrastructure and global counterterrorism experience, remains a vital partner in ensuring that the threat of terrorism does not define the region's future.
It is therefore fitting to acknowledge the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, whose administration has demonstrated an unmistakable determination to reposition Nigeria’s security architecture and restore confidence in the state’s capacity to protect lives and national assets. This is leadership in action, unlike the lobbying jesters in Washington DC, Von Batten-Montague-York (@batten_von), touting for the politically disposed Atiku. Since assuming office, President Tinubu has made it clear that national security is not a talking point; it is a governing priority. These engagements in Washington reflect a presidency willing to engage the world, build alliances, and secure the partnerships required to defeat enemies of peace.
Equal recognition must also go to President Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump @POTUS) and his administration for sustaining and deepening strategic cooperation with Nigeria at a time when global security threats are increasingly interconnected. Continued U.S. support in military training, intelligence cooperation, and regional stabilisation efforts demonstrates that Washington understands Nigeria’s importance not just to Africa, but to broader global security calculations.
Yet no alliance succeeds without capable hands to execute policy. For that, Nigeria owes a debt of gratitude to Mallam Nuhu Ribadu. Calm, disciplined, and deeply experienced, Ribadu has brought strategic clarity and operational focus to Nigeria’s national security coordination. His presence in Washington, engaging America’s highest security and diplomatic leadership, reflects both the seriousness of Nigeria’s intentions and the credibility of its current security team. These meetings project confidence. More importantly, they project readiness.
We also pay special tribute to the Office of the National Security Adviser (@Official_ONSA) in Nigeria. Often operating in silence, outside public applause, the men and women of that institution carry enormous responsibilities. From intelligence coordination to inter-agency synchronisation, from strategic assessments to crisis response planning, the Office of the National Security Adviser remains one of the most critical pillars of Nigeria’s national defence architecture. Their work is often unseen, but its impact is felt in every operation, every successful interception, every disrupted terrorist cell, and every community protected from harm. Nations do not secure themselves by rhetoric alone; they are secured by institutions, and this office has increasingly shown its strategic value.
Above all, this moment belongs to the brave members of Nigeria’s armed forces, intelligence agencies, police, and other security personnel who daily put themselves in harm’s way so that others may sleep in peace. Their courage on the battlefield, in forests, villages, highways, and remote communities cannot be overstated. Many have paid the ultimate price.
And so, as this partnership between Nigeria and the United States grows stronger, we pause to remember the fallen, our soldiers, officers, intelligence operatives, and innocent civilians whose lives were cut short by the cruelty of terrorism. Their sacrifice must never be reduced to statistics. They were sons. They were daughters. They were fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, friends, and patriots. May their souls rest in peace.
Nigeria’s journey is far from over. The road ahead remains difficult. Terrorism evolves, criminal networks adapt, and the cost of security remains high. But if this week’s meetings in Washington are any indication, Nigeria is not standing alone. And that, perhaps, is the most powerful message of all.
With strong leadership, committed institutions, trusted allies, and the unbreakable spirit of our security forces, Nigeria will endure. Nigeria will rise. And together, we shall overcome.
May GOD Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

I tried to report a critical flaw to @GMX_IO privately. They chose to ban my account and delete the logs instead of fixing the math. Since they prioritize censorship over security, I choose transparency to protect the community. 🧵 #GMX #Arbitrum #securitynotpolitics 👇👇👇👇
What a dangerous double standard.
A politician elected by the people is openly threatening the very security forces.
Democracy give leaders the mandate to serve the people not to intimidate soldiers standing on the frontlines for national Security

The same Tangkhul MLA led a mob which burnt a Assam Rifles TOB and was threatening Indian army when they stopped his illegal timber trucks , during that time he was happy supporting business with same Cadres of NSCN , PLA, KNA(B) and PDF.
Communities bleed, leaders, CSO’s posture, and militants profit, that’s the harsh reality of ethnic conflict.

TROOPS OF 12 BRIGADE RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIMS, FOIL TERRORIST LOGISTICS MOVEMENT IN KOGI STATE
Troops of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army have recorded significant operational successes in Kogi State, rescuing kidnapped victims and foiling a terrorist logistics movement in separate but coordinated operations conducted on 6 May 2026.
In a major breakthrough under Operation TIGER PAW II, troops successfully rescued the remaining kidnapped victims from the Daarul-Kitab Islamic Orphanage following sustained search and rescue efforts. Acting on credible intelligence and maintaining persistent operational pressure, troops of the Brigade’s Blocking Force intercepted and recovered the victims within the Agbaja Forest general area in Lokoja Local Government Area.
The rescued victims comprised five boys, two girls, and two adult females, believed to be the wives of the proprietor of the orphanage. They were promptly evacuated to the 12 Brigade Medical Centre where they received immediate medical attention and first aid. All victims are reported to be in stable condition.
In a related development on the same day, troops acting on credible intelligence on the activities of an arms and ammunition syndicate intercepted and apprehended a suspected terrorist ammunition courier along road Obajana–Lokoja in Lokoja Local Government Area. The suspect, identified as Yahaya Umar, was found in possession of 500 rounds of 7.62mm NATO belted ammunition concealed inside a bag of maize in an attempt to evade detection.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect is a key logistics courier involved in the movement of arms and ammunition for terrorists across states within the North Central region. Further interrogation indicated that the ammunition was handed over to him at Obajana Forest and was being transported to Dikko Junction in Suleja, Niger State, for delivery to a yet-to-be-identified terrorist.
The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing further interrogation to aid ongoing operations aimed at dismantling the criminal network and apprehending other members of the syndicate.
These coordinated successes underscore the Nigerian Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while sustaining aggressive operations against terrorists and their collaborators. Members of the public are encouraged to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to support ongoing efforts.

Security starts in the classroom.
Today, I held a high level meeting with the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, alongside former IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, as we continue advancing plans to expand the Nigeria Police Academy and strengthen police training nationwide.
This is in line with the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to reposition the Nigerian Police through education, building a system that delivers on its core mandate and strengthens national security.
We have now concluded plans to commence academic activities at the new southern campus of the Police Academy in Abeokuta, Ogun State, with a clear timeline to admit the first set of students between September and November 2026.
Beyond the academy, we are also driving reforms across over 40 police colleges, with a strong focus on upgrading capacity, accelerating accreditation, and transitioning select institutions into specialised, industry relevant training centres.
We have set up dedicated committees to fast track resource verification, infrastructure development, and curriculum alignment, ensuring this campus and the broader reforms are delivered with speed, structure, and sustainability.
Policing today demands more than theory. It requires technical expertise, adaptability, and continuous skills development, and that is exactly what we are building.
This is a one government approach. And we are not just talking about reform, we are delivering it.

Most AI systems don’t fail because they lack validation.
They fail because they can still execute when validation fails.
Detection ≠ control.
If execution is still possible, governance is observation.
