That number alone can make an SME IPO look exciting.
But I went through the RHP.
And the REAL story is much more interesting.
~₹100 Cr market cap SME company.
Listing: 4 September.
Business is split almost 50:50:
→ Automobile & Engineering Services
→ Logistics & Equipment Rental
The operating asset base is real:
92 transit mixers
13 concrete pumps
23 logistics trucks
190+ specialised vehicles
But here’s something I noticed:
Fleet has barely expanded.
FY26 capex: just ₹0.03 Cr
FY25 capex: ₹0.06 Cr
vs ₹8.43 Cr in FY23.
Yet the financials have improved sharply.
Revenue:
₹92.3 Cr → ₹102.8 Cr → ₹105 Cr*
FY23 → FY25 → 11M FY26
EBITDA margin:
16.1% → 18.5% → 22.8%
PAT margin:
2.4% → 9.4% → 13.2%
PAT:
₹2.2 Cr → ₹13.8 Cr*
~6x increase.
So yes,
There is REAL operating improvement here.
And customer concentration is moving in the right direction.
Top customer:
22.9% → 8.3%
Top 10 customers:
65.6% → 44.7%
That is genuine de-concentration.
BUT…
This is where I would stop looking at the 780x subscription
and start looking at CASH.
Operating cash flow / PAT:
3x+ → 3x+ → 1.1x → 0.5x
The latest 11M FY26 period is the concern.
Reported profit ≠ cash generated.
Working capital cycle has also stretched:
112 days → 160 days
And there is another mirror image:
Customer concentration ↓
Supplier concentration ↑
Top 10 suppliers:
66% → 81%
Top 1 supplier alone: 30%+
Now look at the IPO structure.
₹33 Cr fresh issue.
ZERO OFS.
That means promoters aren't using the IPO itself
to cash out.
Use of funds:
₹10 Cr → RMC machinery
₹3.1 Cr → debt repayment
₹10 Cr → working capital
Balance → general corporate purposes
At ₹48:
Annualised 11M FY26 EPS ≈ ₹7.25
Implied P/E ≈ 6.6x
Looks CHEAP.
But there is no directly comparable listed peer
for this exact business mix.
And then there are the things
you absolutely should not ignore:
⚠️ ₹5.23 Cr cheque-bounce complaint from Tata Capital
pending in court — dues reportedly repaid as per RHP.
⚠️ ~11 lakh shares transferred by promoter
to family-linked and outside individuals
at ₹23/share in Aug–Sept 2025
vs IPO price of ₹46–48.
So what do I see?
THE GOOD:
→ Fresh issue only
→ Customer de-concentration
→ Strong margin expansion
→ Multi-year OEM / telecom relationships
→ Low-looking valuation
THE RED FLAGS:
→ Cash conversion deteriorating
→ Working capital stretching
→ Supplier concentration rising
→ Related-party funding
→ Pending legal matter
→ Pre-IPO share transfers at ₹23
And this is exactly why:
780x SUBSCRIPTION
is NOT a research thesis.
The market can tell you
how many people applied.
The RHP tells you
WHAT YOU ACTUALLY OWN.
For SME IPOs,
don't stop at:
“Subscription kitna hua?”
Go deeper:
Revenue
↓
Margins
↓
Cash flow
↓
Working capital
↓
Capital allocation
↓
Customer concentration
↓
Supplier concentration
↓
Promoter behaviour
↓
Valuation
That's where the real research begins.
