@KenyaPower 2 days no power na ikikuja it just for 5 minutes
What's wrong
#switchoffkplc
How exactly are we supposed to industrialize Kenya with electricity costs like this?
EPRA has added KSh22.31 per unit in just five months:
May: KSh4.40
June: KSh3.87
July: KSh5.18
August: KSh4.70
September: KSh4.16
Compare that with our neighbours.
Tanzania: TZS292 per kWh for general users, roughly KSh 14.5 per unit. Cost for industrial users is even cheaper.
Ethiopia: about KSh2.45 per kWh (this is subsidized but still).
And Kenya has increased its cost by KSh22.31 in FIVE MONTHS ONLY. The increased cost is more than the cost of electricity for our neighbours.
Then they stand on podiums and talk about industrialization.
With what power? At what cost?
Factories need electricity. Manufacturing needs electricity.
Ama the best this 'leadership' can offer ni kazi ya mjengo?
.@KenyaPower .@KenyaPower_Care should just tell Gikambura residents if they should get alternative power. This is now too much.

I just remembered how we pushed #SwitchOffKPLC back in 2017 alafu the Wakili who was behind it was paid off by the system. He even left this app. Hapo ndio nilijua huku you can push for good governance kumbe wenzako wako scouting for the highest bidder 😅
I hope one day we can solarize Kenya we do away with Kenya Power.
What sorts of nonsense is this? Intermittent blackouts - Rural and Urban.

Poleni.
I twok about this aggressive colonial group-punishment approach @KenyaPower @KenyaPower_Care to debt collection and punishing innocent consumers in the process.
Ipo siku. #SwitchOffKPLC
Kenyans for Kenya because we are the only ones who can help each other. If you see this, please re-tweet to help a frustrated bill paying and tax Choked Kenyan

@ProfKibwana @MarthaKarua
I truly hate @KenyaPower. This rogue company has taken consumers for granted for too long. Whole regions are having daily power outages and not even a puff from their staff. #SwitchOffKPLC
This mafia entity needs competitors.
.@KenyaPower @KenyaPower_Care we were not in any scheduled interruptions and yet you are ignoring our outcries? Just because @JerotichSeii abandoned #SwitchOffKPLC doesn't mean others can't revive it!!! 🤬
I just randomly remembered back in 2017 we had a very active #switchoffkplc until the once very vocal wakili Apollo Mboya who happened to be leading the campaign sold his soul for some coins and deactivated from this app. We are all fighting for this country for different reasons
The moment you start waiting for bloggers, activists and self Centered politicians to lead you to liberation that’s where you go wrong. I thought sisi wote ni watu wazima but anyway kila mtu anajua chenye kilimleta Nairobi.
@muya_gichigi I called her out with my previous acct and she blocked me. Notice how she went quiet on #SwitchOffKPLC campaign since #Yamune rule came in and entered Kenya power.
The electricity bill this month😡😡😡 almost 25% up, yet many days we operated mostly on Generator 🤷♂️.
@LegalEzra Nothing works against a movement than the narrative that their leaders have been bought.
Recall how #switchoffKPLC was switched when Apolo got his own deal?
