Agreed w/ Mr. Bird on REEs here in the long run (ultimately I think the best projects will win out, not the ones with the best government deals). The world only needs so much rare earth ore. I'm not a great macro forecaster, but here's how I currently see the critical minerals landscape overall (not exhaustive, not investment advice, none of these are price projections, would love disagreement): Copper, uranium, tin: strong long term demand tailwinds AND supply constraints inside and outside China. Could probably also throw aluminum in here as well but it's a tricky supply chain that I don't have a sufficient handle on Lithium: strong demand tailwinds, fewer supply constraints (especially from China) Tungsten: reasonably strong demand tailwinds, medium term (3-5 years) very strong ex China supply constraints REEs, some other niche metals (germanium, gallium, indium, antimony, etc): reasonable demand tailwinds, government backed projects are going to flood the Western supply side in time. Graphite probably here too Nickel, PGMs: weak demand growth but supply is rationalizing. Zinc sort of also here (kinda) Cobalt, tantalum: decent demand tailwinds, supply chain risk more from Africa than from China, not as much Western focus on getting new supply, may have longer to run unless e.g. the DRC normalizes cobalt exports Processing of all kinds: going to be in very strong demand ex China, biggest risk for conventional processors is new technologies that make existing/planned infrastructure obsolete
