I have put on hold posting about Nigeria 🇳🇬 since I slowed down on political/governance/culture. It’s actually been one of the best exercises I have had. But Nigeria has 100 million strong Christians and powerful pastors — they can fight on their knees and in their justice advocacy and win this spiritual warfare. It’s sad about some of these are largely society related. Nigeria Christians have structural, doctrinal, and cultural problems. “How can one chase a thousand or two chase ten thousand, unless the Lord had given them up ?”— Deuteronomy 32:30. Said of ancient Israel’s grace to defeat their enemies, that scripture shows that the victory of God’s people has never been about numbers, money, weapons, and alliances. It’s always been the arm of the Lord doing valiantly. Teach this to Nigerian Christians, they will say— I just want my Mercedes Benz— that’s all. No amount of well- reasoned teaching can convince a Nigerian prosperity Gospel preacher that it’s their love of money killing them. Islamic Terrorists are nothing. A piece of cake. They could be given a good beating that will teach them a lesson. But Nigerian Christians are losing to terrorists because there’s an Achan in the Christian camp ( Joshua 7) Once they have suffered a little while and learned their lessons we can lift up this feather 🪶 - weight of a problem and show them how super easy it was.
