The FTSE 100 extended its losing streak to a fifth consecutive session on Friday, falling 22.56 points, or 0.2%, to close at 10,750.11, as weakness among miners and pharmaceutical heavyweights outweighed gains elsewhere in the market. The blue-chip index ended the week 1.4% lower, while the FTSE 250 gained 0.1% over the week and the AIM All-Share advanced 0.3%.

@TouchstoneExp (TSX, AIM #TXP) shares jumped 18% in early Friday trading after the Trinidad-focused energy company reported a sharp improvement in second-quarter financial performance. Touchstone generated $7.13 million of funds flow from operations, up from $1.85 million in the first quarter, while swinging to a $2.34 million net profit from a $2.38 million loss.
