#UCMPVisit to the Albertine. This is how the oil & gas development is creating linkages with other sectors of the economy; @TotalEnergies is constructing more game trails to facilitate tourist movements within the @murchison_falls.
Special thanks to @seith12 for guiding the team to the different places in the Albertine region as far as oil and gas in Uganda is concerned. Much has been learnt, connections have been made & we are going back to spread the word, the Our oil indeed exists. #UCMPvisit
Day 3 of the #UCMPVisit . We were able to visit the tilega fields which is having about 430 wells and planning to build over 30 well pads for the production of about 190,000 barrels of oil per day . The tilega project is owned by @TotalEnergiesUG and regulated by @PAU_Uganda.
A former chairperson LC5 in Buliisa accepted to be compensated and wants this to be an example for the rest of the communities affected by the Tilenga Oil project.

# Day 2 of #UCMPVisit. At Tilenga project. About 420 wells are to be drilled on 31 pads so as to minimize environmental impact due to prints.
On day 2 of #UCMPVisit to the Albertine, we learnt this; an appropriate PPE as in the below picture gives visitors entry to most restricted places while ensuring personal safety amidst a beehive of activities ongoing at the sites

Besides being compensated through construction of housing facilities. Many of the #PAPs have picked up training in skills like tailoring, driving, livestock improvement and other programs. "Mostly hoping to work on #TilengaProject", says Finhas
