Genesis describes destruction of the cities. People have suggested earthquake, bitumen fires, or a meteor airburst (a popular recent theory for Tall el-Hammam). None of those is proven as “the” event. Volcanoes and meteors are real; they are not automatic proof of the biblical story or of a lost calendar.

Ancient societies had magicians, sorcerers, necromancers, and people who used spells and herbs (Egyptian heka, Mesopotamian āšipu, etc.). Biblical law condemns certain practices (Exodus 22:18, Deuteronomy 18). Modern Wicca is a 20th-century revival, not the same thing as Bronze Age or Iron Age magic.

“Why has nobody figured this out”
Many of these ideas (naturalistic plagues, Jesus in India, hidden meanings of 153 fish, etc.) have been proposed for a long time. Historians, archaeologists, and biblical scholars reject most of them because the evidence is weak or contradictory, not because of a coordinated lie. Pastor Scott’s interpretations are one reading among many; they are not a newly discovered archive.
On the sexual insults and “who does what to whom”: people have always had a range of sexual practices, some of them risky or illegal. That does not turn the Exodus or the Gospels into a bestiality manual, and it does not make every ancient herder a participant. Diseases spread in many ways; “foot and mouth” in livestock is not the same as human STIs.

No single tree fits the Exodus story as a practical way to poison the Nile and kill its fish. The river is far too large. Fish-poison plants work in small, still, or slow water (ponds, lagoons, creeks) when people crush a lot of bark, seeds, or roots and dump them in. They do not turn a major river red or wipe out its fish by dipping a staff.

What scholars actually propose for “water like blood + dead fish”
Naturalistic theories almost never invoke a tree. They usually suggest:

Red silt washed down from Ethiopia
Algal blooms (red-pigmented algae or cyanobacteria) that color the water, use up oxygen, and kill fish

Dead fish then making the water stink and undrinkable
Those ideas are debated and do not prove the biblical event happened that way. They also do not require a poisonous tree.
Bottom line
Trees that can poison small bodies of water exist. There is no historical or botanical evidence that Moses (or anyone) used one to poison the Nile. The Bible presents the event as a miracle with the staff; later “he poisoned it with a tree” is a modern guess, not something the text or Egyptian records support.
