Chile, Brazil and Mexico put her name forward together. Later, Chile withdrew its backing, while Brazil and Mexico stood by her.
She may be out of the competition, but the issues she raised are still very much in it.

We have TWO clear frontrunners: Costa Rica's Rebeca Grynspan and Guyana's Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett. This is now the 3rd straw poll which put these two women at the top.
(Grossi's candidacy looks like a longshot)
