I know the $VIX is subdued for now, which has helped fuel this rally, but the next key level is 20. Don't think we get under that anytime soon. Infact, my money is betting we soar through 30 in coming weeks. More volatility is on the way.

Wow. Nice rally today, but we are not out of the woods yet. $VIX closed above 30 still! These swings are common in bear markets and not usually around a true bottom. Believe lower moves are still to come. Watch the VIX and those June lows. Should act as resistance now.

$DIA tumbles 500 points, all major indexes down over 1% this Friday, and our fear gauge went... down! $VIX down 0.3% to 31.78. Crazy. Still above 30, so I expect more pain to come. Tends to follow a VIX above 30.

What a difference this market sees in a day? Shooting higher one minute, collapsing the next. All part of a bear market.
$VIX up a little, 31.85. As long as it remains above 30, expect more weakness.
$SPY new low. $XLK under key support. Friday will be interesting.

Solid rally today, but guess what? $VIX still holding over that 30 level. Tomorrow another big day as market tries to close out the week strong. I don't see it lasting long, but who knows what the next two days have in store.

Indexes dropped 1% ahead of Fed. $VIX up to 27.11. Bet it gets over 30 tomorrow. If it does, lookout. Signals more downside ahead. FYI, the chance for the Fed to save this market was the last meeting. Anything other than a rate cut tomorrow will lead to a crash.

I think we get a bounce from here, pushing the VIX lower, at least briefly. Still bearish overall though.
