It feels entirely natural, as a human being, to wonder: "Why do skeptics oppose voter ID requirements?" or "Who benefited from this result?"Even if the side arguing that "elections shouldn't require ID —loose verification is fine" wins in court, if the evidence is murky or interested parties are heavily involved, it’s a healthy reaction to ask, "Was it truly fair?" You start to suspect, "Is it just more convenient for them to keep the verification process vague?" don't you? It’s easy to feel: "They just want to lie and dip their hands into the common people's piggy banks to skim off the top, right?" Legislative elections = setting the rules and the budget → It’s like entrusting your wallet to a thief.For those collecting and distributing taxes, a system where voter identification is vague can actually make it easier to maintain power and control over the budget in the long run.
