Latest tallies: At CGH there have been 116 patients through the door since 8am, 7 by ambulance.
In GRH there have been 204 patients through the door since 8am, 54 by ambulance with high walk ins across both A&Es #AandELive
It's also a busy department at CGH with 52 patients in total, 11 people in majors, 39 in minors and two in resus. People have attended today due to falls on the ice, chest pains and respiratory conditions.

2/2 Of recent arrivals to the GRH department, there have been 2 GP referrals and 3 from 111, but many patients are very unwell and have arrived by ambulance #AandELive
1/2 The department at Gloucester is still busy at 7.30pm, with 71 patients in A&E, 16 of whom have arrived in the last hour. Reasons for attendance include severe chest infections and abdominal pain as well as a variety of injuries. #AandELive
Although Cheltenham stops taking blue light ambulances after 8pm, our team of Emergency Nurse Practioners and the rest of the fabulous staff are here through the night, every night for those who walk in #AandELive

If older people are coming into hospital, via A&E or otherwise, they should bring their glasses, teeth, hearing aids and a change of day clothes to help them feel 'back to normal' once they've been treated + relatives who have power of attorney need to have photo ID #AandELive
Consultant Tanya is here providing a patient with a twiddle mitt, which helps patients who are living with dementia when they come into the A&E. Having something to 'twiddle' helps to calm agitation and restlessness and they're all made by volunteer knitters #AandELive
