I believe that the liberation of Hadramout’s coast from #Al_Qaeda was not the result of a direct battle, but rather the outcome of transferring the administration of the governorate from the group to the local residents, alongside the formation of the Hadrami Civil Council at that time Later, there were talks about an unannounced deal made by the #UAE with the group for withdrawal, which is what is commonly acknowledged. As for claims of dismissing or separating recruits based on their regions, this is unacceptable, and we must all stand by the soldier However, if the measures are related to the Ministry of Defense as part of a restructuring or the reassignment of recruits according to the ministry’s plan, this is an internal matter for the ministry, and recruits are required to comply.

In this video, the Yemeni Minister of Defense, Taher Al-Uqaily, attempts to justify the removal of Southern soldiers, many from the "Triangle" Dhale, Redfan, and Yafa, who were instrumental in liberating the Hadramout coast from AQAP and have continued to defend it against terrorism. His justification? That they are “not from Hadramout.” Yet in the same breath, he acknowledges a fundamental military principle: that army units should not be composed solely of local recruits. This contradiction is not minor. It exposes a deeper inconsistency in both policy and intent. If regional origin is the standard, then it must apply equally. Today, Hadramout, from the coast to the Wadi, is heavily controlled and occupied by forces originating from North Yemen, which is outside the South entirely, not just outside of Hadramout. They should be removed first.
